Country Squyres' Antiques was founded in 1973 as a small antique and collectable adventure by Kathy Squyres. Expansion throughout the years have included clocks, silver, glass, furniture and an extensive, ever growing collection of fine antique and estate jewelry.

This unique store offers heirlooms that will not be found elsewhere. As a purveyor of fine jewelry and antiques, at the same location since 1973, we bring something special and unique to downtown Chico

Kathy Squyres

Kathy's love for antiques took root early — so much so that shortly after earning her teaching degree, she traded the classroom for something she couldn't resist: opening Country Squyres Antiques. That was over 52 years ago, and she hasn't looked back since.

As the heart and eye behind every piece in the shop, Kathy personally does all the buying. Each item she selects carries her discerning taste, deep knowledge, and genuine passion for preserving the stories that objects hold. When you shop here, you're not just finding a beautiful piece — you're benefiting from more than five decades of expertise.

Bree Hall

Bree has over 20 years in customer service and a decade immersed in the antique world, Bree is the familiar face you'll most often find at Country Squyres Antiques. Whether she's learning about a newly acquired piece, carefully cleaning a treasure, or keeping the shop beautifully organized, her dedication to the craft is always on display. Bree's warmth makes every visit a pleasure — she's always ready to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

Beth Dooney

Beth Dooney brings decades of experience in the jewelry industry to Country Squyres Antiques. A GIA-certified gemologist, Beth has a trained eye for quality, craftsmanship, and value that only comes with years of hands-on expertise. She joins us once a week to conduct professional jewelry appraisals — bringing trusted expertise behind the scenes to ensure every piece is accurately valued.
